SCRUM Master

The SCRUM Master will implement plans, strategies and policies to help guide and direct employees. Will supervise and coordinate organization's operations and make sure employees have the resources needed to do their jobs. Build the organization’s image by working collaboratively with the company's business partners. Enhance organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. The SCRUM Master will display leadership skills of integrity, strategic planning, decisiveness, sound business judgment, flexibility, analytical thinking and people management. The SCRUM Master will ensure that the Technology Product Managers are working closely with the Technology team leads to identify, prioritize, and complete projects for their assigned area

Responsibilities include:
  • Align business and technology roadmaps
  • Proactively seek to understand each division’s business objective and champion those objectives to deliver business value
  • Create, maintain, and communicate a calendar of technical events in support of the business objectives
  • Ensure that the deliverables meet the business requirements
  • Foster collaborative communication among technical and business teams
  • Ensure proper project planning occurs and that estimates for scope, effort, cost, and schedule are properly defined, communicated, and accepted by key stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Review project deliverables to ensure completeness & adherence to standards
  • Manage risks and issues
  • Set and manage business expectations
  • Gain trust of Business partners by ensuring the team is consistently completing high-quality deliverables
  • Establish position as expert and trusted advisor
  • Manage staff for optimum performance
  • Determine staffing requirements
  • Hire and train new staff
  • Set employee goals and objectives
  • Develop staff to maximize potential
  • Monitor staff performance including performance reviews
  • Delegate work assignments to staff to attain objectives
  • Allocate use of available resources
  • Monitor and assist staff with work progress

 

Qualifications
  • Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities and follow through to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, problem resolution and customer service
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly understand the scope of the project and identify key success and risk factors
  • Experience working with third party vendors with an understanding of systems integration
  • Enthusiastic team-player
  • Able to clearly and regularly communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree a plus
  • Must be highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Experience with software development life cycles
  • Expert with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint
  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Ability to lead in a high pressure, multicultural environment and motivate other staff
  • Self-starter who will take ownership and initiative
