This company sells products and solutions to over 200 utilities in North America.
We are seeking a Network Administrator to provide technical and administrative support for networking, managed services, system administration, telecom, and IT management issues for our companies located in the United States.

We are seeking a Network Administrator to provide technical and administrative support for networking, managed services, system administration, telecom, and IT management issues for our companies located in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with Corporate IT to provide computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users. Responds in a timely fashion to end users’ needs and concerns relating to computer business applications and general systems issues.
- Performs day-to-day maintenance of network servers (backups, administration, hardware maintenance). Installs new software applications or hardware, coordinating assistance from third parties as applicable.
- Adds and maintains users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards. Installs network workstations and printers. Assists in defining upcoming network needs which would require purchase of additional hardware or software.
- Administers Company-wide e-mail systems and coordinates with Corporate IT regarding corporate accounts.
- Works to enhance the telecommunication network and system.
- Reviews and coordinates software license and copyright agreements, including updates and revisions as well as service/maintenance arrangements.
- Works with management and Corporate IT in designing technical systems and architecture.
- Works with management and Corporate IT in setting standards for backup/recovery and documentation.
- Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
- Implements security improvements by assessing the current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
- Assists with drafting departmental policies, user procedures and department documents; assist with research projects such as system analyses and disaster plans as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical or professional experience related to the design, installation, and maintenance of local and wide area network required.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience, with a minimum of two years of experience installing and maintaining computer infrastructure such as Microsoft Windows installations in Active Directory domains.
- Knowledge of computer software and hardware; local and wide area networks; knowledge of data communications, network planning and analysis; and vendor evaluations. Strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users having different levels of computer expertise. Ability to design workable solutions to problems in a timely manner.
- Experience with IT projects delivery.
- ITIL knowledge.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish / English) a plus.
