We are seeking a Senior Proposal Analyst to develop technical and commercial proposals for SCADA, ADMS and digital solutions in response to electric utility needs.  Working closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Delivery Teams, the Senior Proposal Analyst identifies the appropriate solutions and responds to key technical and commercial requirements from the customer to deliver competitive, high-quality, compelling bids/proposals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage proposals, including all aspects of proposal development such as pre-proposal planning activities, kick-off meetings, value proposition, schedule management and adherence, action item tracking, proposal structure development, team guidance and coordination.
  • Responsible for the development of complete proposals, working in close cooperation with the sales, project Management, engineering, development, procurement, legal and other functions as needed
  • Develop and maintain proposal management-related artifacts for each opportunity to include kickoff materials, compliance matrix, schedule, writing instructions and templates, and action items
  • Work together with the sales director, subject matter experts, project managers, and others as needed to refine proposal sections to ensure accuracy, compliance with company processes, consistency, and reflection of win strategies.
  • Clarify, communicate, and enforce roles and responsibilities of the proposal team members.
  • Utilizes standard pricing tools, an understanding of the opportunity and client requirements, and inputs from Delivery and Development to build accurate project cost models for each opportunity
  • Responsible for the commercial and technical Risk Review Process including proposal reviews and approvals, in compliance with corporate business practices
  • When required, present the details of proposed solutions and commercial offers to internal stakeholders as well as the client
  • Assist in the development and refinement of tools, templates, and standardized processes to streamline proposal development and help ensure proposal accuracy and quality.
  • Support the hand-off of new projects internally by following documented processes and effectively communicating customer requirements and details of proposed solution to the Project Delivery team
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. in Engineering or other technical field; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related fields considered when combined with relevant experience
  • Three or more years of experience in a similar role technical/commercial proposal management for IT/OT solutions; experience in the energy and/or controls industries preferred
  • Prior knowledge of utility SCADA and/or DMS/OMS a plus; general knowledge of IT solutions, including hardware and networking concepts preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of building winning proposals and managing complex proposal development processes
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams)
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to collect data, analyze data, and solve problems
  • Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally
  • Spanish speaking skills considered a plus
