SUMMARY: E-discovery support and services are a critical component of modern litigation, and an essential client support area in today’ s modern legal practice.  

Under the general supervision of the E-discovery Project Coordinator, the E-discovery Analyst will provide consultative support and hands-on support to internal case teams. The E-discovery Analyst will assist around the processing, maintenance, authentication, quality control, investigation, support and consultation of projects or tasks involving client or firm data.


The E-discovery Analyst will be well versed in all aspects of the e-discovery process, modern litigation requirements, FRCP driven mandates, technology tools, database management, handling the loading, processing and production of client data, and providing outstanding customer service. The top candidates will be former vendors or will have worked within a law firm environment before supporting key e-discovery functions. 



  • Advising case teams on common best practices within the industry, as well as firm-focused methods surrounding the handling of client data or information across various formats.
  • Communicating, corresponding, and interacting with clients and outside entities under the supervision of attorneys and senior personnel.
  • Provide hands-on litigation technology support, including projects such as database creation, and maintenance; import documents into databases; exporting data; reformatting and converting data.
  • Ability to analyze incoming data for potential processing, production or management related issues.
  • Loading various forms of data and media (i.e. CD’ s, DVD’ s, via FTP, PST’ s and other forms of electronic storage) into e-discovery review and firm IT systems.
  • Proficiency with text editors (TextPad, UltraEdit, Excel, etc.); load file manipulation and file renaming applications.
  • Providing custom support and solutions around end-user workspaces, as well as assisting end-users in common tasks such as searching within Relativity, tagging, production best practices and other focused areas within the Relativity platform.
  • Utilizing electronic discovery software tools and technology, format and process data under the supervision of the E-discovery Project Coordinator and preparing it for loading.
  • Assisting in the management of document productions and other associated production related tasks (i.e. redactions, applying custom footers to documents, data-set management, image conversion, etc.) in compliance with production specifications.
  • Performing consistent quality control checks and making quality control, analysis and validation a critical part of the workflow.
  • Consulting with vendors and other managed service providers within the e-discovery solution market.
  • Adept at the management of Personal Identifying Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI), including information governance, security, platform management and required legal, regulatory and Federal mandates surrounding the handling of information of this level of sensitivity.
  • Troubleshooting electronic discovery tools, database and IT related issues surrounding e-discovery related solutions.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings, training opportunities and other IT department focused events.
  • Provide on-call support as needed during critical case, team, and firm scenarios.

  • Exceptional skills within the Relativity platform, as an experienced administrator, “ power user” and trainer.
  • Strong IT skills and support abilities around troubleshooting end user
  • Experience utilizing and administering litigation technology platforms and databases, such as Relativity, Concordance, IPRO, iConvert, LAW Pre-Discovery, CaseMap, and Trial Director/Sanction or other similar eDiscovery software tools.
  • Outstanding communication, project & priority management, and collaboration skills, with a goal towards meeting case team deliverables/timelines and improve overall quality and efficiency.
  • Experienced within the litigation lifecycle and the e-discovery function, spanning from initial case consultation and support onward through production and terminal lifecycle management.
  • A “ security-first” mindset, which constantly evaluates the security impact of every action or decision within both the e-discovery and technology workflows.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task independently is required, as well as exceptional time management & organizational skills.
  • Exposure to the particular discovery requirements of labor & employment law highly desired, but not required. 
  • Exposure to SQL & Relativity based scripting & management highly desired, but not required.
  • Superb interpersonal skills empowering manager to work with a highly diverse and global staff working in a fast-pace and dynamic environment.

  • Four year degree highly desired, but exceptional experience & knowledge can be substituted.
  • A minimum of 6 years professional experience in the law firm e-discovery field, either within a vendor or within a law firm environment.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification highly desired.



  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and to handle other computer components.
  • Ability to sit at workstation for long periods of time completing testing, documentation, or other assignments.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments.
