Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the completion of new and existing projects on time and within budget. These projects relate to SCADA, OMS, DMS, RTUs and Services.   The Technical Project Manager will work closely with customers and internal departments within ACS to define project scope and objectives, manage engineering/integration tasks and the implementation of systems and resources.


Duties and Responsibilities

 
  • Manage new and existing projects within the organization, as well as performing engineering/integration tasks as part of the project delivery.   These projects relate to electric utility automation systems, including but not limited to SCADA, OMS, DMS, RUT and Project Engineering Services
  • Create and maintain project schedules, action and issue logs, and other project documents
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports
  • Partner with technology teams to identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks
  • Ensures all project deliverables are consistent with technical architecture and standards
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and management team
  • Assign and monitor project tasks for both internal and external resources
  • Control project scope with an effective change process

Required

 
  • Bachelor' s degree or higher required (preferably in Engineering or IT)
  • 3+ years' experience managing technical projects
  • 1+ years' practical hands on technical implementation and configuration/troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of engineering terminology
  • Experience utilizing Project and ERP software to manage project delivery
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80%, INCLUDING TRAVEL TO INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER LOCATIONS
  • Fluent in Spanish, both verbal and written - preferred
     

Preferred
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, CSP, etc)
  • Electric Utility experience
  • Experience with SCADA, OMS, DMS, RTU, or other technical project delivery tools
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint)
