A Software Developer is responsible for providing the technology leadership to develop and maintain an updated high quality portfolio of systems and solutions that address the energy delivery industry needs.  The successful candidate will have a high level of quality for all source code developed, and tested binaries (alpha testing) to reduce work that drives the R&D department to follow the Product Roadmap against cost targets. Software Developers are responsible for reviews between the developer, CTO, Customer Care and Product Managers, and must be knowledgeable of new technology techniques that can be applied to our platform.  Our ideal candidate must have the technology strength and operational rigor that drives the R&D department to create methods to improve the product line.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design new software applications for the SCADA, ADAMS, and OMS systems
  • Maintain and update older software applications
  • Implement SOW review with customers on jobs to define targets and align job requirements versus product offerings to reduce mismatches
  • Assist with customer support and trade show demonstrations, demos, and training
  • Allocate resources to address the User Interface offering, starting with mobile offerings
  • Review workmanship quality of work and variances to find root cause
  • Hold product reviews between developers to review changes to the code

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1 - 5 years' experience and knowledge of C++ required
  • Experience with Java, Python, and Oracle is a plus
  • Knowledge of Linux, PRISM, and SCADA preferred, but not required
  • Leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write code and control software is preferred
